Insurance & Costs
MUSC Health works with a wide range of major insurance providers.
MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care is the health care system of the Medical University of South Carolina. We have a long history of earning the trust of South Carolinians. You can count on us for safe, high-quality patient care – as well as fair billing.
Keeping costs low for you, our most important asset
We’re dedicated to building partnerships that help make care more accessible and affordable for families from the foothills to the coast. One step toward fulfilling that commitment is through our newest innovative care model: MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care.
MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care locations work with a wide range of in-network insurance providers . That allows us to provide you with the highest quality care at the lowest possible cost. Our fair billing ensures you’ll only pay a lower-cost fee for lower-acuity care you receive (versus higher fees for true emergency services).

A small payment amount, referred to as a visit deposit, will be required from uninsured patients at the time of service. Patients having multiple visits will be required to pay a deposit for each visit.
This is only a deposit, patients will be responsible for all remaining balances and will receive a statement for these balances.
